One of Zanzibar and Stone Towns most famous landmarks, the Africa House Hotel has previously been a royal residence and ‘The English Club’ before being renovated and restored as a hotel. Steeped in history, with a marble staircase dating from 1896, the hotel is decorated with antiques and original photographs.

There are a mixture of double and twin bedded rooms, with large windows overlooking the ocean. These rooms are set at the top of the hotel and offer amazing views of Stone Town. The Royal Deluxe room has a king sized bed and sitting area; all are beautifully furnished and very comfortable.

The Tradewinds restaurant offers fresh international and local cuisine, whilst the Sunset Grill and Bar offers a wide range of cocktails, beers and wines to its guests as well as panoramic views over the city. For those guests wanting night life, there is the Pirates Cove Nightclub with its state of the art sound system to help you dance the night away!

The Games room, adjacent to the Sunset Bar, has games of darts and pool as well as live sports matches for guests to watch.
