The Blue Bay Beach Resort & Spa is an 88 room large, luxury hotel situated on a secluded 25 acre plot on a white, sandy beach on the tropical island of Zanzibar. Located on the East Coast in an area known as Kiwengwa, the hotel is approximately 35 minutes drive from the town and the airport and is an excellent choice for families with its wide choice of facilities.

The superior rooms are decorated with traditional furniture to include a large four poster bed, mosquito nets, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite TV, a mini bar, an en-suite bathroom and a balcony or veranda. All rooms have views of the ocean. The hotel also has 2 Sultan rooms, located on the edge of the Indian Ocean, a few metres from the white sandy beach. The Sultan rooms are attended by butlers dressed in traditional Swahili robes whose sole aim is to ensure that your every need is met and surpassed.

The hotel offers a variety of dining options. The Maluki restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, overlooks the pool area towards the beach whilst the Beach bar and restaurant offers a wide range of dishes from seafood to pizzas.

The hotel has many facilities to keep both children and adults happy. There is a large fresh water swimming pool with adjoining open-air Jacuzzi, a children's paddling pool and a children's club (on demand) as well as a snooker room, Spa, disco, tennis court and fitness centre.

The hotels water sports centre offers diving at a 5 star PADI dive centre, snorkelling, windsurfing, canoes and sailing boats. It is also possible to arrange island tours and nature walks for interested guests.

This hotel is an excellent choice for those guests who want something more from a hotel than just sunbathing.
