Dolphin View Paradise
This new boutique hotel, in a prime location with a beautiful private beach near Kizimkazi, is situated on the Southern tip of the island of Zanzibar. It has been designed to offer its guests the facilities of a modern 5 star resort whilst allowing the stunning location to remain the focal point.
The accommodation is built in a traditional style, with makuti roofs and terracotta floors. There are 12 villas located on the north side of the property and 6 at the peninsula edge. Each Villa has a breathtaking sea view and has been positioned in such a way that none obstructs the view of another. The villas are arranged over 2 floors, with a living room, dining space and 3 en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor. On the 1st floor there is the Princess Salme lounge, an open roofed room decorated with superb Zanzibari furniture and benefiting from a veranda with a 180 degree sea views. All villas feature wireless Internet, a safe, flat screen TV, fridge and CD/DVD player.
There are 4 categories of villa to choose from. The Zanzi Villas, which are located in the second or third row, offer a 180 degree sea view from the veranda. The Peninsula Villas are located on the first row close to the cliff with a direct view from both floors. The Zanzi Pool Villas are similar to the Zanzi Villa with the addition of a private swimming pool and finally there are the Prime Pool Villas, similar to the Peninsula Villas, but with a private swimming pool.
There is a choice of restaurants at the hotel. The Barracuda restaurant, overlooking the sea, offers buffet breakfast and dinners, with a separate area for a la carte dining. The Jetty restaurant offers light lunches and champagne breakfasts; alternatively, one of the hotel chefs can prepare a meal in your villa.
There is also a choice of bars. The Reef bar offers cocktails and other refreshments around the pool area whilst you can enjoy a drink, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic at Legends Bar, which can be found on the jetty.
Around the property is a paved walkway named The Sunset Walk, from where it is possible to take some gentle exercise whilst enjoying the stunning African sunsets over the Indian Ocean. Alternatively, guests can make use of the hotel’s Spa and Fitness Centre, enjoy diving and snorkelling from the jetty, dolphin boat trips, kite surfing, beach walks or Spice Island tours, all of which can be arranged locally.
