Kichanga Lodge is a small, intimate resort situated on the south east coast of Zanzibar, about an hour from the airport. The hotel is set in rich tropical gardens, in a fabulous position facing the sea and white, sandy, tropical beach.

The African-style makuti thatched guest bungalows are built on the fringe of the private beach and are surrounded by tropical gardens. Each has a king-size bedroom with mosquito netting, fans, mini bars and safes. There is also a dressing room and en-suite facilities as well as a wooden veranda for relaxation. Some of the bungalow rooms also have inter-connecting doors.

The Villa accommodation has the same facilities but with wider verandas, views of the ocean and direct access to the beach. They are ideal for families as there is a second bedroom on a mezzanine level.

For special occasions, the VIP Suites offer guests fantastic views and are ideal for honeymooners.

The restaurant and bar is situated in the Clubhouse. The restaurant has uninterrupted views over the beach and serves local, international and Italian cuisine. The main bar is adjacent to the restaurant and there is also a small bar beside the swimming pool.

The hotel also has a wide range of facilities to keep you amused. There is a massage and beauty centre, a variety of water sports such as diving and snorkelling, mountain bikes and canoes to rent, volley ball and bowling. There is also a library available to guests.
