Ocean Paradise is set in over six acres of beautiful gardens on Zanzibar’s north east coast. The lush surroundings have been planted with indigenous trees and plants to attract the various bird species on the island. Situated besides a white sandy beach and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, this hotel lives up to its name as a little piece of paradise. Expansive stone terraces, magnificent viewing decks, calming waterfalls and dreamy infinity pools add to the charm of this property.

This pavilion-style resort offers 100 stylish thatched rooms and suites which are set in landscaped gardens sloping down to the beach. Built in traditional African style Roundhouses, each room offers twin or king size beds, mosquito nets, air-conditioning, en suite facilities, satellite TV, telephone and mini-bar. All rooms are sea-facing and have large doors that open onto a private balcony or terrace.

The resort offers its guests a choice of 2 restaurants. The Ocean restaurant, with panoramic views over the beach, serves a table d’hotel menu, themed buffets and seafood barbeques. For less formal meals and snacks, the Jahazi Restaurant and Pool Bar is located at the poolside which overlooks the Indian Ocean. For an evening cocktail, why not head to the Bahari Lounge and Bar which opens from late afternoon to midnight. The resort also has a disco where you can dance the night away until the early hours of the morning!

The swimming pool is one of the largest pools in Zanzibar and there is a PADI accredited dive centre offering both qualified divers and novices an underwater view of ocean around this fantastic island. Other water sports include windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, dolphin tours and boat trips. Alternatively the resort has a fully equipped gymnasium, table tennis and a snooker table.
