Located right in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Stone Town is the Zanzibar Palace, a boutique-style hotel situated over 3 floors. As the hotel is centrally located, this makes access to all the sights and adventures of Stone Town within easy reach for guests. The hotel is independently owned and managed, making this a very individual place to stay with its blend of English, Arabic and Indian influences.

Styled around a central atrium, each of the floors has 3 rooms, making a total of 9 rooms only. Each is stylishly and individually decorated with local antique furniture and Persian rugs which gives the rooms a traditional feel. All rooms are fully air-conditioned, with mosquito nets, telephone, safe, DVD player and hair dryers on request. All rooms are, of course, ensuite.

As would be expected, the restaurant at the Zanzibar Palace, known as the Sea Grill, offers both top class menus and service. There is a wide choice of food including the speciality of the house, locally caught seafood. Also available are exciting meat and vegetarian dishes and the chef is always happy to prepare a meal to celebrate a special occasion. The bar at the Zanzibar Palace offers 24 hour room service.

The hotel also offers internet access, a DVD library, board games, a small library and a tourist information point.

Stone Town is the capital of the island of Unguja, more commonly known as Zanzibar and is a city of stone coral buildings and narrow alleyways. A historic place, there is much to see and do during a stay on the island. Why not take a walking tour through the cultural part of the city, a Spice tour or visit the Prison Island to see turtles and snorkel on the reef?
